Playing Career 1986 – 2004

SC Preussen Munster Germany, Sunderland England, SC Sing Tao Hong Kong, Sarawak Malaysia, Geylang United Singapore, Home United Singapore.

He is a former professional footballer who began his career at Sunderland Football Club, he is best known for his time playing in The Far East.

He spent most of his youth in Germany, and moved to England when starting out a football career. His professional playing career spanned over 18 years, during which time he gained much success along the way.

IMG_0197During his time in Asia, his success had provided him with many other opportunities in football, he became a familiar face on TV screens across Asia, working in the television studios of ESPN Star Sports as a football pundit during Euro 2000.

His playing days came to an end when he was forced to retire from the game through injury in 2004.

After his playing days, he returned to England with his family, wife Elizabeth and sons Samuel and Matthew.

On his return to England his immediate goals were to complete his UEFA coaching qualifications and set up his own football company Sporting Club First Touch 04.

Following his retirement as a player he has devoted all his time, coaching and developing young players for the future.

His wealth of knowledge and experience in football, combined with his drive and determination will ensure continued success at Sporting Club First Touch 04.
